What are the FAA requirements for a Private Pilot License?
You must receive at least 40 hours of flight time, including 10 hours of solo flight. We teach you ground school to prepare you for your FAA Airman Knowledge test. The first module is teaching you to fly the aircraft, handle emergency procedures, then you fly solo! The next module teaches you performance take offs and landings. Then you learn cross country navigation both day and night. You take a FAA Practical Test with a Designated Pilot Examiner.
What does my FAA Private Pilot License allow me to do? You can carry passengers day and night in good weather!
What is the next step after I get my Private Pilot License? Most pilots will continue on to get their Instrument Rating so they can fly through clouds. This allow you to realize the advantages of flying friends and family to favorite vacation destinations or simply longer sightseeing flights!
