AIRLINE TRANSPORT PILOT RATING!

THE DOCTORATE OF AVIATION

Allow our highly experienced, USAF instructors to provide you with the quality instruction you need to obtain your Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) rating. All students are provided with use of headsets and approach charts at no charge.

What maneuvers do I have to do on the ATP check ride?: The profile is straightforward. Rejected takeoff, area work which includes power off approach to stalls, unusual attitudes, steep turns (45 degrees of bank), engine failure, engine shutdown, engine restart, emergency descent and four instrument approaches. Two non-precision approaches, one with a procedure turn. Two precision approaches, one simulated single engine. One missed approach to a published holding pattern and one simulated single engine missed approach.

What should I review before I arrive for the ATP course?: Accessible will e-mail you a study guide. We understand you are very busy and will not have a chance to thoroughly study the material. There is time in the program for us to cover the material with you. We just ask to to get familiar with the study material.

What is the Airline Transport Pilot ground evaluation like?: A pilot logbook review to make sure you are qualified to take the check ride, aircraft maintenance record review, aircraft systems and Part 91 regulations. Accessible Aviation gives you a comprehensive review to prepare you for the ground evaluation.

I am military and have not flown a light aircraft since flight screening. How difficult will the ATP training program be?: We have trained hundreds of military and airline pilots for the ATP. We know your weak areas and can prepare you. for example, we know we do not have to train you to fly an ILS, just provide you the pitch and power settings and differences between jet and piston. Our instructors have jet and piston experience so we can tell you what pitfalls to avoid. We give you a "jet to piston" transition briefing!

I am a military "fighter guy" with a Centerline Thrust Restriction. Will the ATP remove the restriction? Yes, we do one more maneuver, a Vmc demo, and you will have the restriction removed.

I am currently a military pilot or Airline/Charter pilot and I am not familiar with CFR Part 91. Will the ATP Part 91 ground eval be difficult: The Part 91 operating rules are not extensive or difficult. All the IFR procedures questions are the same rules you operate under every day, so that is not a problem. Again, we know your knowledge base and will fill in the gaps.

I have not flown a procedure turn since pilot training: No problem. We expect that and give an extensive review.

Each community brings a different skill set to the table. We know the strengths and weak areas of a fighter pilot will be different from a KC-135 pilot or CRJ pilot. We tailor YOUR training program to YOU!

I am an International Airline Pilot with an ICAO license and do not have the PIC hours for the ATP. How can I get an FAA Airline Transport Pilot Rating: You can use your count your SIC time for the time you are manipulating the controls (your leg) as PIC for the ATP application. You can then get your FAA ATP. Many Gulf states want the FAA ATP and this is a quick way to get it.

I have an ICAO License but I do not have an FAA Pilot License, do I need TSA approval? Yes. Contact us and we will help you thru the TSA approval process.

My ATP written is expired and I am a current airline First Officer, can I take the checkride: No, the CFR 61.39 exemption is for certain military pilots and FOs who have completed their company's upgrade training. See our requisites page.
